24/11/17

Week 5
Today we as level 6's had a meeting with Doug and Sharron about our concerns as a class, we discussed and resolved our problems. The consultants group had to stay behind and talk to Doug and Sharron about other difficulties the class is feeling about this whole project. After both of these meetings I then went to my catering group to discuss how they were doing and what still had to be done. They made the budget for everyone's food and discussed what food they were having then made a finalised list. The floor plan for the room everyone is eating in was made and finalised. 
Next week we are going over details and making sure everyone knows what they're doing and how they have to do it. 
With everything that has went wrong with the course i.e. no charity, dates are jumbled etc I believe everyone has done their best and hopefully the event will be okay.

17/11/17

Week 4

This week we started off our lesson by discussing as a whole unit what has happened and what we can do to to help the project keep going. Changing the project so late didn't sit so well with everyone. The changes we made to the project are the date-now the 15th December, who it's for-now only just the level 4's 5's and 6's and it won't be as elaborate as what it would've been for the rest of the college. We then as individuals went through paperwork and blogs to make sure we're okay there and up to date with everything.

Week 3-Absent(group update) 

This week we went to our level 4 and 5's groups and went over our plan and corrected anything that needed it. We also went over all the details and plan for the day of the event and made sure everyone in the group knew what they had to do and where they had to be for the event. As a group we discussed what could possibly go wrong and making plans if anything did happen.

Week 2

This week we looked through our portfolio and within our level 6 groups we went through the first half. We had to make a detailed plan of our weeks leading up to the event, decide on what our individual team roles are-I am the admin consultant. We then had to discuss the roles relationships within the group e.g. the team leader will communicate and oversee all team members and me being the admin consultant I would take care of any paperwork that the team had. As individuals we went over our project roles e.g. how did I get my role, How will this role benefit me and how will this role benefit my team. Lastly, as a team we went over our group working methods e.g. how did the group negotiate working methods, how did the group take into account the available resources for the project and how did the available resources impact our choices of working methods.  
Next week as a group we will continue our work on our portfolios.

Week 1

This week we decided on what teams we wanted to be on, I was allocated into the consultant team. After sorting out the teams the consultants had to then pick not only team roles what what group from the level 4's and 5's we wanted to help. I was given the group who were working on the stalls for our winter fun day. Within the group I had to help them decide what they needed and how they were going to get it. 
This week got off onto a great start and the plan for next week is to start our paperwork.
